The Foundation fosters the development of Polish art and expression in Poland and across the world.
The Marek Maria Pieńkowski Foundation organized and sponsored the Pieńków International Art Workshops from 2001 to 2011. Young artists were invited based on recommendations from the rectors of renowned art academies. They were eligible to apply for participation in the workshops for up to ten years after completing their studies.
In 2016, the Foundation launched the Pieńków Artist Residency Program, a continuation of the earlier art workshops.
