On Saturday November 11th, 2017, the Marek Maria Pienkowski Foundation celebrated the 99th anniversary of the restoration of the independence of Poland at the residence of Dr. Pienkowski. Friends of Poland who attended the event were entertained with historical remarks by Dr. Pienkowski as well as the singing of the national anthems of the United States and Poland by David Northington and Martha Miller, respectively. The evening culminated in musical performances by Professors Chih-Long Hu and David Northington on the piano followed by Professor Miro Hristov on the violin.
